Peter Beardsley Says Lay Off Ashley

Newcastle legend Peter Beardsley has told Geordie fans to lay off under attack owner Mike Ashley and thank him for cutting the club’s debts.
Ashley put Newcastle up for sale this week when objections uncovered the extent of his unpopularity.
But Beardsley, who relished two great spells as a Newcastle player, considers Ashley has been harshly handled.

Keegan Finally Resigns From Newcastle

Kevin Keegan has quit as the manager of Newcastle United barely eight months since his return to the football club.
The declaration comes after drawn-out talks between Keegan and the board.
“I’ve been working desperately hard to find a way forward with the directors, but sadly that has not proved possible,” Keegan said in a statement.
